Sedona Stargazing

Last year, we ventured out in the dark to admire the stars, exploring locales like Thunder Mountain and Sugarloaf Summit.

This year, we opted for a professional touch on our Stargazing tour. Sedona Stargazing offers an excellent tour, utilizing large telescopes to reveal distant planets and stars.

We convened at a high school field enveloped in darkness, guided by flashlights to our designated parking spots. The site is roughly 20 minutes from Sedona's center, off Highway 179.

Once everyone was gathered, we proceeded to the telescopes set up on the school's field.

Etiwanda Falls Trail

Etiwanda Falls Nestled above Rancho Cucamonga and within the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, the Etiwanda Falls Trail offers a refreshing escape into nature, marked by its rugged beauty and the tranquil sounds of cascading waters.

This moderately challenging hike is known for its steady incline, leading adventurers through diverse landscapes to the scenic reward of the falls.

The path extends over a 3.2-mile out-and-back route, typically requiring around 1 hour and 45 minutes to traverse. Our journey spanned three hours as we frequently paused to soak in the breathtaking vistas.

Here's a detailed guide to help you navigate and enjoy the Etiwanda Falls Trail, complete with hiker tips and interesting facts.

San Diego Bike Tour

Old Town San Diego - Flickr - by Jasperdo After enjoying a great e-bike ride through Santa Barbara, we decided to do the same in San Diego. We booked a tour with “Another Side Of San Diego”. This tour operator offers many private and group tours. See their offerings here.

We selected the “Old Town & Balboa Park eBike Tour”. We have visited both places in the past but thought it would be fun to go at a more leisurely pace.

Phoenix, Arizona

Phoenix Central Aven - Wikimedia - JCordovaPhoenix, one of the largest metro areas in the USA is also known as the "Valley of the Sun" due to its warm weather and sunny days.

Before you enter the city center you will encounter the usual American urban sprawl but with desert landscaping, a lot of cactus trees, and stark black hills.

If you love the hot-dry desert climate, then you will enjoy living in or visiting Phoenix. A lot of people do, and that is why it is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country.
