Anaheim Packing District

Anaheim Packing District exterior One of our most memorable stops in Anaheim was the renowned Anaheim Packing District. This vibrant culinary hub at 440 S. Anaheim Blvd., Anaheim, CA 92805, is housed in a beautifully restored packing house dating back to 1919.

The district blends history with modern flavors, creating an eclectic and exciting dining experience that's hard to match.

Open daily, the Packing District offers food from early morning into the evening—perfect for any meal or a delicious snack.

Oceano Dunes SVRA

nullSVRA stands for State Vehicular Recreation Area, which really means lots of fun and adventure for you and I.

Oceano Dunes is around 3 hours drive north of Los Angeles CA - right next to Pismo Beach. The beautiful scenery along the way will make those 3 hours pass quickly.

Oceano Dunes is my favorite off-road adventure place. It has everything going for it. The weather is always perfect (or at least acceptable), it has lots of sand dunes, it is right on the beach and it is right next to a very beautiful beach city: Pismo Beach – with restaurants, shops, beaches and hotels.

Tioga Road and Tuolumne Meadows

Sunset at Tuolumne Meadows, YosemiteMost people spend their entire visit at Yosemite Valley and the surrounding area, missing out on wonderful nature and amazing adventures. If you have an adventurous spirit, leave the crowds behind and explore places like Hetch Hetchy Valley and Dam, Tioga Pass, Tenaya Lake, and Tuolumne Meadows.

If you are driving to Yosemite from the east, you will likely experience the breathtaking road through the Sierra Nevada mountains (Hwy 120). The road winds through mountain peaks, meadows, and lakes, reaching an elevation of 9,945 ft. at the Tioga Pass, the highest pass in California. Driving through this pass during winter can be dangerous, and the road is subject to closures.

Cycling San Clemente to Oceanside

San Clemente to Oceano Bike TrailThe San Clemente to Oceanside bike trail is a 22-mile path that runs along the coast of Southern California. Parts of this trail are paved, and others are packed dirt.

It is a popular spot for cyclists, runners, and walkers of all levels. The trail starts in San Clemente, passes through San Onofre State Beach, and ends in Oceanside.

The trail starts at San Clemente State Beach, where you can park your car and start your ride. The first few miles of the trail are relatively flat, as it winds through the park. You can extend your ride by starting from sports to the North like the San Clemente Pier or the Metrolink Station.

New Orleans, Louisiana

NOLA Ironwork corner of Royal and St _Peter Wikipedia by Falkue

New Orleans (NOLA) is world-famous for its music, Creole cuisine, vibrant nightlife, and annual festivals, most notably Mardi Gras. It is also known as the “Big Easy” for its laidback and inclusive culture.

In this most unique American city, you can find distinctive cuisine, beautiful architecture, and lots of history.

It all started in the 1690s when French explorers chose this location to start a small trading settlement. Before that, the area was also frequented by Native Americans for the same reason.

Interesting Facts: New Orleans is also called the “Crescent City” because the Mississippi River curves right through it.
