The waters of Southern California are full of Dolphins and Whales year-round, but the best time to pay them a visit is in springtime. The weather is beautiful and you have the added bonus of spotting a few whales during their migration north to Alaska.

For our latest sea adventure, we went to Captain Dave’s Dolphin Safari off Dana Point. Captain Dave operates a smaller catamaran from Dana Point Harbor with a net bottom up front and two glass underwater observation pods.

Tip: The weather is much cooler in deep waters, so make sure to wear layers and bring a jacket or windbreaker.

After some safety instructions, we headed into the ocean looking for Whales and Dolphins.

في مارس من عام 2023، قررت أنا وزوجتي الشروع في رحلتنا التي طال انتظارها عبر مصر.

بعد جولة مزدحمة لمدة ثلاثة أيام في القاهرة والجيزة، طِرنا على متن مصر للطيران إلى الأقصر، وتم نقلنا بسرعة إلى سفينة الرحلات الخاصة بنا، شتايجنبرجر مينيرفا، وسجلنا الدخول إلى جناحنا الرائع.

تبدأ الرحلة البحرية التي تستغرق أربعة أيام من الأقصر وتصعد نهر النيل إلى أسوان، وتتوقف في عدة موانئ على طول الطريق.

بعد يومين في الأقصر وتوقف في إدفو، أنهينا اليوم في كوم أمبو لزيارة المعبد المزدوج الفريد.

Our Lake Tahoe summer getaway was the perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and fun. With the lake’s crystal-clear blue waters and breathtaking mountain views, the experience exceeded all our expectations. Here’s a glimpse into our three-day journey, with interesting facts and tips to make the most of your Tahoe trip.

 A major highlight of our trip was a scenic road trip along the western edge of Lake Tahoe (on the California side). Our first stop was a breathtaking viewpoint above Emerald Bay State Park, famous for its turquoise waters and Fannette Island—Lake Tahoe’s only island. From here, we enjoyed sweeping views of the bay, framed by lush forests and mountain peaks. We then headed down into the park for a short hike among pine trees and wildflowers.

As you walk west from Pier-39 you will start seeing bike rental shops, gift shops and several fleets of cruise ships. Keep going until you see the famous seafood street vendors where you can get your fill of fresh crab sandwiches or clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl. If you like your dining a little fancier, check out the restaurants right on the docks. 

Seattle is home to the largest aerospace manufacturer in the world, so it stands to reason it is also home to 2 separate aviation museums. See the main Seattle page here
