Jordan, throughout history was a crossroad between east and west. Ancient roads through the desert connected civilizations like the Greeks, Nabataeans, Romans and more recent states like the Umayyads and the Ottomans.

A 2-hour trip from Amman will take to this city perched on top of the highest hills in Jordan with an intact fortress from the Crusades era.

Ajloun (Ajlun) is a northern town close to the borders with  Syria and Palestine (Israel). Due to the elevation, Ajlun is always cooler than the rest of the kingdom, and the hilltops are covered with forests – a rare view in Jordan.

​Paradise Garden Park takes you back to the days of seaside carnivals with thrill rides, parlor games, and fast food.

This area surrounds a large lake where the “World of Color” show plays.

The massive, life-sized blue whale suspended from the ceiling of the Great Hall immediately sets the stage for the scale of the adventure ahead. Walking through the doors, you feel the transition from the bustling Long Beach waterfront into a serene, underwater realm.

Every year in springtime, people driving along highways are greeted with hills and canyons painted in orange, green and violet.

We recently visited the super bloom at Walker Canyon, which lies in between the Cities of Corona and Lake Elsinore.
If you stick to the main trail, you will notice that the first quarter mile is a little steep but it will even out later. The crowds will also thin out the further you go. If you want a longer hike, take a fork to the right, which loops back into Walker Canyon Rd for a total of 5 miles.
